What is Success for an independent artist?

Well this is according to our friend Google AI. According to artificial intelligence success is: Success for an independent artist in the music industry is multifaceted and often involves establishing a strong brand, building a dedicated fanbase, and achieving sustainable income through various means. It also includes having creative control and the ability to cultivate genuine connections with listeners.

Independent artists can generate income through various avenues, including selling merchandise, earning royalties from streams, licensing music for commercial use, and performing at various venues.

Now coming from Real Advantage Productions: I would lean into making money from paid performaces and from streaming. Build a strong catalog of music and stream it. Then perform your songs live and build a fanbase. You have to have people to listen to your music. Performing live and often will help with that. Do every talent show you can do. Set up a performance and or show at every bar and club in your city. Performing at various high schools and colleges would be a very good idea also.
